Podcast Transcript:
Hey, hey. Welcome to episode number 431 of the Six Figure Secrets podcast. I'm your host, Alison Hardy. Welcome back to another episode. Today we're gonna talk about something I hear from so many smart, capable entrepreneurs, Allison. Email marketing is just hard. It feels heavy, overwhelming, like there are so many moving parts.
I don't even know where to start. So if that's you, I'm so glad you're here. But I wanna tell you this email marketing is not hard. You're just overcomplicating it. And I say that with love because I've been there too. If writing and sending emails feels like you're writing the struggle bus every single time, you're probably making one.
Or maybe all of these three mistakes, you're starting from scratch every single time you write. You're trying to make every single email perfect. You're sending emails consistently. You are sending emails inconsistently, so your audience forgets who you are. If this sounds familiar, stay with me because in this episode I'm gonna break down exactly how to make email marketing easy.
But first, let's talk about the root of the problem. The biggest reason emails feel hard is that you're reinventing the wheel. Every single time you sit down to write, you're staring at a blank screen thinking, okay, what in the world do I say today? That blank screen, that blank page is working against you.
And then on top of all of that, you're probably adding pressure by thinking it's gotta be perfectly written. I have to sound polished and professional. I have to pack all the information that I could ever wanna tell somebody into this one email and the cherry on top. You're probably sending emails whenever you feel like it, when you have time, when inspiration strikes.
And you're probably not sending emails on a consistent schedule backed by an actual strategy. You're throwing spaghetti at the wall and you're crossing your fingers and I and toes and hoping that it sticks. When you're inconsistent, your audience doesn't know, number one, who you are or number two, what to expect from you.
And that makes it even harder to stay top of mind when it comes time to sell. So yes, email feels hard because of the way that you are approaching it. The way you're approaching it is hard, but it doesn't have to be. So let's flip the script. I want to work through a few key shifts you can make so that email can feel effortless, repeatable, and honestly kind of fun.
Sounds good, right? So let's dig in. Okay. Shift number one. I want you to use a repeatable framework, not a blank page. Your emails should follow a simple structure every single time. Use this framework. If this is what you want to do,
your emails should follow a simple structure every single time. This takes away the guesswork. So if you're like, I don't know what this structure is, here's a baked sick framework that you can take from this episode and use number one, hook your reader with an opening line that grabs attention. Number two, then you're gonna share a story, a lesson, or a value that relates back to your offer.
Then you're gonna go on to number three. You're gonna make a clear point, one problem, one solution, and then you're moving on to point number four and, and then you're moving on to number four, which is end with a specific call to action. And that's it. It can be that easy when you start to have this framework in your back pocket.
You're not sitting there wondering how to shift, how to start or where to go next. And then once you do this a couple times and it becomes a habit, you can then shift this framework around. You can move things around, you can try different things, but if you're really struggling just with how to write an email, steal that framework.
Alright. Shift number two. I want you to have a plug and play system instead of thinking, what should I spend? Instead of thinking, what should I send this week? You can lean on a system where you know what kind of email you're sending. Is it value? Is it pitch? Is it story? Is it testimonial? What is it?
Where that email fits into your overall marketing strategy and how it leads your audience closer to your offer. The thing that you sell. This is where tools like templates and custom AI assistance, like the ones that I've created for our emails that sell members. Come in handy. They take the heavy lifting off your plate.
All right, shift number three. I want you to automate your emails, specifically your sales emails. You shouldn't have to write a new email every single time you want to make a sale. Having an automated sales sequence lets your sales run. In the background, they work while you're on vacation, while you're playing with kids.
While you're simply not in the mood to rate a good automated email sales sequence can pitch your offers strategically. They can handle objections and build trust. All without you sitting down at your computer and manually hitting send every single time. This is what it can look like and feel like to truly sell on autopilot.
So here's the takeaway that I want you to take from today's episode. Email marketing isn't hard. The process you're using is hard if you're tired of blank pages, inconsistent, sending and overthinking every single word. It's time to get a system in place that makes your email marketing easy. And before we wrap up, I wanna hear from you.
I want you to DM me over on Instagram and I want you to answer this question. Which of this feels like the next right step for you? Is it writing like how you talk and letting this be easy? Is it using a repeatable framework to simplify your process? Us, is it setting up automations so that your emails sell on autopilot?
Send me dm. My handle is Allison Hardy and that's hanging out in the show notes for you if you need it. I truly wanna cheer you on and celebrate where you're headed with your email marketing and I want to hear from you. So thank you again for tuning in today. I'll see you in the next episode.
