Kate wants us to know that fear isn’t bad and you can’t ever get rid of it. Oftentimes we try to deal with fear in three ways: (1) avoid or ignore, (2) please or placate it, (3) attack it.
When we start to feel fear we usually resort to a habit that we’ve learned to try to cope for a short-term reward, whatever reduces stress. These habits are perfectionism, people pleasing, pessimism, and self-sabotage.
With the work that Kate does, she helps you to rework how you respond to events that happen. Instead of a fear-based habit that gets you short term results, she helps her clients choose a courage-based habit that gets them long term rewards.
